branding

MRF has always stood for trust and performance. This rebranding reimagines the iconic Indian brand with a contemporary identity that balances its legacy with a more inclusive, future-focused vision.

MRF Tyres is India's largest and most trusted tyre manufacturer, founded in 1946 in Chennai by K.M. Mammen Mappillai. Starting as a small balloon-making venture, MRF quickly evolved into a leader in tread rubber and, by the 1960s, became the nation's first domestic tyre manufacturer. Today, MRF produces a full range of tyres for cars, trucks, two-wheelers, and aviation, with a strong presence in over 65 countries. The brand is known for its legacy of quality, innovation, and deep trust among Indian drivers.

problem statement

MRF is India's #1 tyre brand, trusted by generations for durability and reliability. However, the brand has become synonymous with outdated masculine imagery and aging male audiences. The iconic "Tyres With Muscle" tagline and Muscleman logo limit its appeal to youth, women, and premium buyers who associate the brand with tradition rather than innovation. Competitors like CEAT and Apollo capture market share by offering contemporary branding, digital engagement, and inclusive positioning. This rebranding reimagines MRF as a modern, inclusive brand that honors its heritage while embracing innovation, sustainability, and diverse audiences.

This modern icon is intentionally inclusive, embodying strength and progress for all drivers, without gender bias.
